My DH is going to the US for work and I was wondering if there are any skin care must haves that he can pick up when he is away that we can't get here?

Ha no my mum who lived in the US always went to Boots while here to stock up on her favourites! Can’t think of anything over there beauty wise (unless there’s a particular make up brand you like). Food is another story I’m going for Christmas and there’s loads if things I’m going to eat that you can’t get here!

Bloody hell its not cheap at the moment.... the exchange rate is bad. I went to California on holiday in the summer and did no shopping at all really. Too expensive on top of eating out etc. Obviously have a look at American brands though and do a cost comparison to see if it’s worth it still.

@Pipandmum oohh the food is as amazing as it is artery clogging. I lived there when I was young and make sure to eat all of my childhood favourites when we go back. Always come back a good half stone heavier 🙈

@Divebar we definitely are suffering with the exchange rate! I was hoping there might be a wonder cream or potion that works miracles that's perhaps prescription only overhear that's is worth him bringing back for me. I've already put in my standard order or melatonin and Hershey's miniatures 😂

I’m not sure if it is actually much (or any) cheaper but i always pick up bits from PIxi skin care range in Target. They seem to have a much bigger range.

I also buy brands that are difficult to get hold of here as they are considered “old fashioned’ in UK eg they have large range of Ponds creams. You can get these in any Walmart, CVS or Walgreens.

There is a larger range ethnic hair care products than in UK and available at the above stores.

Differin - OTC in Walmart, target etc. Fantastic retinoid

Have him stock up on whatever cosmetics you want in the airport in the U.K. as it’s loads cheaper. The only thing worth getting in the US these days are Crest White Strips as they’re not sold in the U.K.
