Help black tie dress needed for next week

So like a fool I’ve left this till the last minute because I hate shopping but I need a dress for a black tie event next week. Had a whizz round the shops yesterday - monsoon, John Lewis etc and couldn’t find anything online or in the store - maybe because it’s the wrong time of year???

I’m a size 14 and would love to get something floor length or maybe those ones with the knee skirt but longer back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I actually think ebay is amazing for this, as dresses tend to be very lightly worn, and you can get something quite high end for High St prices. But, you'd need something ending today to get it delivered in time...

You could also look at the dress rental agencies? Girl Meets Dress is one I think.

I second ebay. I have to go to black tie things for work and have had some lovely dresses from ebay for really good value.

What is your budget?

Or get yourself to a JL personal styling session and let them find you something!

I'd recommend Ebay too although perhaps not for something last minute.

90% of my wardrobe must have come from ebay but not everything I have ordered actually fits.

TK Maxx are sometimes worth a look.

Hobbs is usually worth a shot.

House of Fraser often have a good selection.

Have you tried Quiz either online or in Debenhams? They always have long dresses.
