Nails breaking very low down

Recently there was a thread about this which I thought I had saved. Many posters said the nails were strong but not flexible and recommended the same product, but I cannot remember what it was. I would appreciate any help.

I’d it nails inc gel rehab? I bought some on the strength of that thread and I’m pleased so far.

I just use sweet almond oil but it could be you file too far down the sides, my nails are strong and flexible and I only file above the top of my fingers, never down the sides.

Thank you @Pinkypurple35 and @LuxuryWoman2018. I will try both of them.

I am guilty of filing the sides so will stop that immediately.

If you stop filing the sides you’ll probably see a lot of improvements, mine never break (touch wood) since I read not to do it.

Take zinc tablets. They really do work to strengthen nails.

@Sarcelle, thank you I have just found some zinc tablets at the back of a cupboard, so will take those as well.

@LuxuryWoman2018 I will definitely stop doing that. As they have broken I have filed them more at the side so have probably just been making them worse.
