Help me find some casual trainers

DD(18) needs some new shoes. She has spent the last 4 years wearing the same pair of Skechers as she has ME and has barely left the house in that time. But now she's getting some orthotics and needs a proper pair of shoes, though as she still can't get out to the shops easily, I'm going to order them online. And she has no interest in footwear whatsoever, so I have to choose them for her.

The physio has recommended trainers. This is not the kind of footwear I go for, so literally have no idea what would look reasonably nice for a teenage girl who lives in boyfriend jeans and hoodies. Adidas Gazelles aren't suitable apparently as they are too shallow.

So can anyone help me find some fashionable styles please, if such a thing exists for trainers? Thanks.

Geox? Huge range of well made trainers. Nike? The knit ones are popular. Stan Smiths? My DD likes them.

Look in magazines for ideas.

Nike Air Force 1s are big with teens at the mo, but you need to half size down because they are very roomy, but maybe roomy is what you need? There is a great ‘shadow’ range out at the moment with lots of fun colours. X

Nike Airforce 1's are AMAZING! I have "problem feet" (v wide and in need of extra support) and live in my mine, never worn anything so comfy in my life. Plus a friend's 15 year old son told me recently that he thought my trainers were cool. I nearly died (he is very cool). They do lots of different colour ways and they go with everything. Couldn't recommend me.

I was going to suggest airforce 1 ones too. I have some and they are the comfiest shoe ever!

If you look at Nike.com, there is (I think still) 20% off sale with oct20, which should minimise costs in case they turn out to be wrong.

Thanks. They do look nice. I'm not sure if they're also too shallow though? They look more like a tennis shoe shape, than a running shoe. Maybe I'll have to just order some and try them. Do the insoles come out?
