Lumea for bikini line - how far do you/can you go?

I’ve succumbed to the hype in the quest to find a longer lasting hair removal option. Salon based hair removal was off the cards (didn’t fancy lifting up my never shifted caesarean belly for anyone). DH is happy to help and already knows the state of my body 😁.

My question is - how far do you/can you go with a Lumea? The instructions caution against use in the vagina and inner labia but how far dare I go towards there and underneath? And do I need to do anything differently? I quite like the idea of whipping off as much as I possibly can.

Did a couple of test patches this morning as a start point. I’m fair skinned and dark haired so I’m coming up as setting 5. It didn’t hurt but was a little flicking sensation that was fairly warm.

Tips welcomed!

Wow, I was at level 3 and after one zap that literally lifted me off the floor, I put the thing down and have never gone back. I'm fair skinned but in that area, my skin seems to be more pigmented.

I would stick to the advised use OP, there are a lot of nerves in that part of the body and the skin is much more fragile than the bikini line. I would only use it on skin that was of the same type as it's advised for use on, not labia, anywhere near the vaginal opening, perineum or anus.

I also think the lumea bloody stings even on lower settings so if your pain tolerance is that good OP I'd just wax it off on the bits you can't lumea. I have one but found it a faff and it all grew back eventually anyway, just slower and patchiet. Gave up in the end and couldn't care less about hair anymore anyway.

Ooh brave woman OP!
I don’t think you should go too far really but the skin in that area would naturally be ever so slightly darker than the rest of you so try a much lower setting if you can. In fact start at the lowest possible setting and adjust accordingly. Anyway, as you’d have to shave first, and it’s not the easies place to shave, it would be quite an exercise to keep up the treatments, waxing is way faster. Saying that, there is the draw of dealing with it longer term.

Going against the grain here but I use it inside my buttcheeks on level 5 as well as outer labia. Stings like hell but no side effects and most hair is now gone

I’ve given it a go on outer labia and a bit below, bum left alone for the moment! It stings a bit but nothing unmanageable.

I definitely wouldn’t go near inner labia, very different colour and also skin texture so I think that would be a big risk. We’ll see how the rest of it goes though, anything that can reduce the regrowth is welcomed.
