Usually wear coco mademoiselle but really want something different. I like powdery smells, kind of like baby powder - feminine but not floral. Noticeable but not headache inducing

Also like leather smell but not tobacco.

Don't like angel, flower bomb is too sweet, don't like kenzo. thought I liked Si (original one) and also Chanel Gabrielle & coco noir but now not sure about any of them. Don't like miss Dior. Possibly like Dior addict but don't know if it smells a bit fake? I don't like perfumes that smell really artificial.

Any ideas? Realise I am a nightmare!!Confused

I've had a lot of compliments recently when wearing Prodigieux, by Nuxe. It's available at larger branches of M&S.

Cheesesteak · 13/10/2019 01:55

I love Lancome la vie est belle. It's one of the few perfumes i get on with.

Jo Malone myrrh & Tonka
Jo Malone Velvet Rose & Oud
Chanel l'eau no5
Estée Lauder Sensuous Nude

(Though my others are Gabrielle & Coco Noir!!)

Bois des Iles - Chanel, described as smelling like fur coats and buttery soft leather.

Was going to say Tabac Blond, which smells more of leather to me, but clearly has tobacco notes.

HollyGoLoudly1 · 13/10/2019 07:26

Have you tried Daisy by Marc Jacobs?

TheCanterburyWhales · 13/10/2019 08:15

Leather note perfumes:
Cuir Cordoba by Keiko Mecheri is my favourite, but there are loads of others. Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, Chanel Cuir de Russie etc. Good old Cabochard (modern formulations are as cheap as chips, the older vintage formulations are better and can be picked up on eBay) is probably one of the best leathery leathers around that isn't going to need a mortgage

Powdery- There is, iirc, a Perfume parlour Baby Powder and a Demeter/Library of Fragrance Baby Powder, but if you want something not so totally powdery then you probably need an Iris note which is soapy and powdery You'd probably like Prada Infusions Iris

Lots of so-called "old lady" perfumes are quite powdery, L'Aimant which you find for a fiver now is a more powdery Chanel 5 for example.

Tresor by lancome. The original one. I have similar tastes to some you listed and have loved this for years. It king of reminds me if Parma violet sweets, but really is a fresh lovely fragrance.

Try Narciso Rodriguez rouge. It’s rose/musk/powder and smells divine. Big compliment getter. Also Narciso Rodriguez Pure Musc is very light and delicate and smells like clean skin

Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardomon is another powdery smelling one that is really nice

woofsaidtimmy · 13/10/2019 09:38

Oscar de la Renta and L'Heure Bleu are both quite powdery.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 13/10/2019 11:05

You might like Gucci bamboo which has a soft powdery dry down.

Iris poudre by Frederic Malle

Hugo Boss Orange is a nice warm scent that smells a bit powdery on me, anyway.

SwedishEdith · 13/10/2019 11:13

If you like powdery, Guerlain Shalimar is the one, I think. And, yes, to L'Aimant. Basically, older perfumes are often powdery.

Newschapter · 13/10/2019 11:19

I like clinique 'happy' which is a lovely fresh and light smell but it lasts. It's more of a summery smell.

Dune is my other go to - it's a heavier one but I like it for Christmas and winter.

Dh bought me daisy last year and I hate it.

Imnotweirdimlimitededition1 · 13/10/2019 14:06

You should try chloe signature

ClementineWardobe · 13/10/2019 14:47

Bulgari Blu.... Perfect for you.

PaulHollywoodsleftbollockhair · 13/10/2019 16:52

Recommend me some perfumes please!
PrincessHoneysuckle · 13/10/2019 17:02

Versace Dylan Blue is not powdery but its stunning,I own coco mademoiselle and love them both

MontanaSkies · 13/10/2019 18:47

I was also going to suggest Alaïa!

Also you might like Narciso - the one in the white square bottle. It's very powdery and musky. There are floral notes in there, but it smells very "perfumy" to me in the same way as the Chanel.
