Hi, my first ever post although I've been on here a long time. I need help deciding whether to keep a coat , I've ordered, or not . I'm sorry I can't seem to get a link to work but it's the Boden hengrave coat in leopard print. Saw it in John Lewis , tried it on , didn't buy it as needed a petite fit so ordered it from Boden . It fits perfectly but I'm worried I'm too old . I'm 51 . Should I just send it back ? What's the consensus ? Thanks in advance, your help will be much appreciated .

It's nothing to do with age, and everything to do with personal style.

Personally I'm fifty and can't get past the bett lynch connotations so never find leopard print classy, certainly not when it's on a major item like this v something small like a belt.

But we have our own personal styles and we are all different, what's important is you like it.

Definitely buy it.

You're not too old. I'm 52 and wear whatever I like, no one bats an eye. It's all in the attitude!

StepawayfromtheBiscuittin · 12/10/2019 10:19

Love it.

MoltonSilver · 12/10/2019 10:34

You're absolutely not too old but I agree with the poster who said that if you have to talk yourself into keeping you'll probably not get a lot of wear out of it.

Xanadu58 · 12/10/2019 11:01

Thanks all for your comments, I've tried it on again with your thoughts and comments in mind and I've decided to keep it ! As someone said, it's about attitude and I shall wear it with confidence and not let my age hold me back Wink

I see more older women in animal print than younger so I really think you will be fine! It's a lovely coat!

It's lovely, and you could wear it with anything plain and neutral, from jeans and a jersey to a pencil skirt for work. The key to styling it will be staying away from anything voluminous below it, and no other animal prints! And you are not too old; I'd wear it, if I wanted to hadn't already got far too many coats and I'm a decade older than you.
