Help me accessorize this dress please!

Need some help please!

I've just bought this dress as I couldn't resist - super flattering and love a polka dot but! It's navy blue and I have no idea what to wear it with re shoes etc - I want to be able to wear it in winter but I only have black cardigans, boots etc and don't quite know what to shop for to wear with it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can actually wear the lovely dress?!

Very cute dress. I would probably wear a navy waist length cardigan, opaque tights and feminine ankle boots. You can get cheap cardigans in Sainsbury's etc.

I think it would look great with some light grey and/or something bright, orange or red, fuchsia.
Some shades of purple might look great with it too.

Brown ankle boots, navy tights and a mustard cardigan I reckon.

What's your usual style OP?

Dontgobaconmyheart - normally quite casual, lots of super bright colours usually (fuschias, purples, turquoise); quite funky, not too serious....not a fan of muted or too dressy! Prefer flats or boots to heels, 5'3", size 10, playful but not wacky?

Mustard long stylish cardie brówn tights and navy ór grey ankle boots

Red cardi bright red (patent is my preference) high heels and see what it looks like with dark sheer tights...not opaque for sure.

I would sport my red patent DMS with that regalia. Maybe not with sheer tights nor for a wedding 😀

Red biker jacket, or red faux fur jacket and red boots.
Or if your feeling wild , silver sequin jacket and silver boots.

I really like fuschia with navy.

I can see the attraction of DMs and the like with a very pretty dress but I think it has to be a total contrast and I don't think it would work with this one.

Trainers would come spring/summer.

Loving these ideas I normally avoid red as have bright ginger hair but might go for it loving the red boots idea.....very Dorothy from Wizard of Oz....need to hunt for red boots!!
