Non clumping mascara

I bought a mini eyeko mascara after seeing it recommended loads. It clumps horribly and leaves big black blobs on the end of my eyelashes. Can anyone recommend a decent, non clumping mascara? Doesn’t have to add loads of volume or length, just a bit of definition

I love Chanel (I use the Volume waterproof). I used to use Barry M which I also rate. You can also use a spoolie to smooth it out or wipe the applicator before using.

YSL volume effet faux cils is brilliant.

I always go back to Max factor masterpiece max, and the Aldi copy of it is also really good.

Maybelline Define A Lash is better than any high end mascara I've ever used. Doesn't clump, super smooth, lots of length and definition.

Benefit they're real

Maybelline Lash Sensational is cheap and fantastic

dinomonkey · 11/10/2019 18:32

Maybelline do the best mascaras hands down. The Rocket is their best

Fresta · 11/10/2019 19:13

Hourglass Film Noir is not in the least bit clumpy- doesn't give much length of thickness though. It does however absolutely not smudge and although not advertised as waterproof it's hard to remove, even with a biphase remover.

I’m using Maybelline Snapscara at the moment. It’s cheap and doesn’t clump, good definition and my lashes don’t feel cakey or stiff. I recommend it!

Skittlesandbeer · 12/10/2019 23:46

Definitely Benefit rollerlash. I’m very picky about mascara. I want to look natural (but better!). They have it in brown as well, which is becoming very hard to find in other brands.

Benefit Rollerlash

Jumbojem · 13/10/2019 09:25

No help from me but just to say I got eyeko too and find it horribly clumpy and transfers to my under eye all the time. I got full size so an expensive mistake. Dior show (I think it's called) was the best I ever had. Looks like I need to give roller lash a go!

Span1elsRock · 13/10/2019 09:27

My DD bought me a No 7 one for my birthday and I'm really impressed with it, it gives great lash definition and doesn't run.

Don't touch Charlotte Tillbury with a 10 foot barge pole. I tried one twice, and sent it back as i was convinced it was faulty. New one was exactly the same. Took me around 2 weeks to unstick my lashes Angry

BelindasGleeTeam · 13/10/2019 09:28

Max Factor 2000 calorie is a classic for a reason. Coats lashes individually, clump free and they do brown too.... and is only £8 now.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 13/10/2019 09:33

I always go back to Lancôme Hypnose. Collection do a passable dupe for a fiver.

Chantecaille either Longest Lash or Longest Lash Faux Cils. It’s pricey though. But worth it.

ELM8 · 13/10/2019 12:10

No7.. especially if you use their lash primer first (take advantage when there's an offer on)

nala15 · 13/10/2019 12:19

MaxFactor False lash effect! I have used this mascara for years. Every time I buy a different one I always end up going back to this one as no other mascara matches up to it! Lashes are full, thick and no clumps.

Maybelline Define a lash is actually a really good dupe for the ysl faux cils I recommended upthread - I use it as my everyday, but nothing beats the ySL. Ive tried all of the Max Factors and they make my eyes water. No good for sensitive eyes. Diorshow is really good for very dramatic eyes but clumpy, you need to comb it. Hourglass is ordinary. Eyeko also v ordinary and flakey to boot, ugh (tbf I hate tubing mascaras tho). Chantecaille is so "natural" you might as well not bother.

I've really spent waaay too much money on mascara.

Igetknockeddownbutgetupagain · 13/10/2019 17:34

I’ve also tried many many mascaras. The Benefit ones are good, but honestly you can’t go wrong with a Maybelline. I always go back to them and I don’t know why I try anything else!

Tinyandpetite · 13/10/2019 17:43

I had the exact same thing happen with eyeko, nearly £30 and was atrocious. Not very helpful, I’ve been tinting my lashes and had a few compliments on them, kit is £4.50 weeks n eBay and really easy.

Max Factor False Lash.
Thick, full eyelashes and never ever clumps.
I have used it for over 10 years!
