Help me find some really nice pyjamas / loungewear please!

I’m a bit of a pyjama / loungewear addict. I wear PJ / loungewear bottoms whenever I’m at home - I have endometriosis and tight fitting bottoms hurt, plus I’m chasing around my toddler twins all day so it’s just easier!

I used to buy pyjamas from Hush, Fat Face, White Stuff and Cath Kidston... not cheap at all but over the years the quality really dropped. I haven’t bought any for a few years and now all mine are falling to bits.

I need:

  • Jersey type pyjamas, ideally cuffed bottoms (I’m a short arse!)
  • Sweatshirts that are soft and loose and warm
  • some kind of warm cardigan to take place of a robe
  • nice slippers I can step outside in without ruining them eg when taking bin out quickly

Mainly I want things that are comfortable and good quality that won’t be ruined after multiple washes or fall apart too soon.

Any good suggestions for me?

The outnet usually has a good discount on cashmere etc and can be good for this type of stuff

Have you looked at Oysho, they do the best pyjamas ever in my opinion!

Velveteenfruitbowl · 10/10/2019 19:37

Liberty London, Desmond and Dempsey and, Oysho are all lovely. Sea salt do lovely ones sometimes too.

MarshaBradyo · 10/10/2019 19:38

Bodas is nice too

I bought this set recently, soooo comfy and cosy! https://www.marksandspencer.com/flexifit-star-print-lounge-bottoms/p/p60285561?image=SD022T371426PPT4XXEC90&color=GREYMIX&prevPage=srp

Micha Lounge on ASOS stuff is comfy and great value.

I have some esprit ones that have lasted years. Their current collection is here

SinkGirl · 10/10/2019 21:10

Thanks everyone - this is great! Will shop now :) The last few pairs I’ve bought have been M&S or similar and therefore cheaper but they don’t wear very well sadly.

Going to find something nice to cheer myself up about the cold weather :)

Sketchers for slippers! Not particularly glamorous looking, but ooh the comfort 😍

RonMexico · 10/10/2019 21:36

Men's pyjamas! They are so much more comfortable and don't seem to shrink as much in the wash.
We now have communal pyjamas at home.

ihatethecold · 10/10/2019 21:39

Pink do the softest sweatshirts with no labels on them. They are £39 and I love how cosy they feel. They do come up large though.
I’m a 12/14 and needed a small.

MollysMummy2010 · 10/10/2019 22:11

Seriously, try Primark. They have lovely lounge wear and who cares who it’s from if you are wearing indoors (ethical issues aside that I don’t believe anymore as most companies use the same factories)

PersonaNonGarter · 10/10/2019 22:46

Toast is really good at PJs

MissMatchedClaws · 10/10/2019 22:57

I bought some isotoner slippers from amazon a couple of weeks ago. They are the warmest, comfiest things ever. They’re moccasins with a fluffy inside. And they have hard soles for the dash to the bin moments.

Fuma · 10/10/2019 23:02

I'm so glad someone else said Primark before me because it was my first thought but I feared getting drummed out of town. Their pyjamas are great and they have some lovely ones at the moment.

Also re the ethical thing they have a much better record and have had it for longer than most other high street brands and how many years have they been using paper bags for?

MollysMummy2010 · 11/10/2019 00:39

Thanks @Fuma - I thought the same!

Got this and the matching joggers from next a little while ago- so soft and cozy

RainbowsAndGlitterAndUnicorns · 11/10/2019 19:44

Oooooh I like the Next ones!

ThisIsTheThirdTime · 12/10/2019 12:08

My sister was bought a pair of sketchers slippers for a birthday and still wears them 7years later! I wasn't sure if they were shoes when I first saw them but they have a fluffy inside and brilliant soles!

If you know anyone in Australia who can post for you or don't mind paying the shipping/import duties have a look at Peter Alexander.

Zinnia · 12/10/2019 14:43

Toast and Hush both do wonderful PJs

FreeButtonBee · 12/10/2019 14:52

I have a pair of Celtic sheepskin boots as slippers. The ones with proper soles. They are on their 4th winter and I machine wash them about once a year.

A TK max proper cashmere cardigan is good for a robe - I bought an XL sized one for max snuggliness.

I have some nice 100% cotton pj bottoms from Gap - not cuffed though. Agree hush has gone down hill - too much synthetics in the fabric so they bobble wildly.

I recently got a baukjen vest top and the quality is amazing. So can recommend highly. Washes well, no twisted seams, don’t overstretch when wearing. V limited colours though

Sweetpeach3 · 12/10/2019 14:56

I got a lovely one from very by Michelle keegan. My mum has not robbed it for when she has chemo now though. it's so comfy an washes amazing ! X
