Does rolled / filled gold actually last

I’ve seen a few necklaces I like on Etsy / Not on the High Street etc but wondered if they last any longer (ie don’t tarnish) than the much cheaper stuff you can get in places like accessorize ?

It does tend to wear but would last longer than nickel plate costume jewellery.

If you were wearing it every day I'd expect significant wear by end of the year.

If you wore it going out or once a week and don't sleep in it etc then it could last you forever
