Work 'jeans' that aren't t jeans!

I'm after some help in finding a pair of trousers for work. I basically live in jeans and feel most comfortable in jeans so am looking for some trousers that are jean like but look smart enough for an office job!

This is my criteria

Black or navy
below ankle length ie not cropped/grazer
bit of stretch
flattering shape - got wide hips!
*under £40

Prefer to order online if possible.

Thanks in advance for your help Smile

I live in black mid rise slim jeans from Tesco for work. They’re really comfortable and are £16. The black does fade after a while as does all black but I just dye all my black trousers in one to once every 4 months or so.

I’ve a black Per Una pair from M&S, they’re straight leg jeans style (think they’re actually online under ‘jeans’), in a smart slightly stretchy heavy cotton style. Very comfy & flattering (I’m a size 18) and I think they are £35. Seem to remember they’re also available in blue, but it wasn’t a dark/navy blue.

Maybe a chino type of trouser might work for you. Kind of the shape and structure of a jean but in a smarter fabric and more work appropriate.

For example: This pair from Next, or this pair from M&S, or H&M.

Next chino style trousers. Skinny fit and a bit of stretch. I live in these for work!

Thank you I've ordered a few different pairs to try. Appreciate your help Smile

Sorry to hijack the thread but what do you wear on your feet in winter with chinos? I always think of chinos as a summer trouser with sandals or non sporty trainers
