I know this has been done lots before but I can't find an old conversation. Here I am in Paris looking around their amazing pharmacies. What shall I get??

I am a fan of Nuxe and La Roche-Posay but via Boots so I can’t recommend anything you can’t buy in the UK.

Agree with @Breathlessness , so much of what you can get in France, you can get in the UK now. And does the exchange rate make any difference now? Possibly worse..

However, when in France, I love a mooch around the supermarkets to buy some things like shower gels and hand creams. I like the Petite Marseillaise brand. That's something I can't get in the UK.

First of all, find a pharmacy whose prices are below the recommended retail prices. Most of them charge full price but some charge below - you need to seek them out.

There's a good one near Gare St Lazare - if standing facing the front of the station, it's to the left, on a corner site. It has a lot of brands at cheaper prices (eg the LRP sun cream I bought was about 12 Euros instead of 16) and special offers too (eg Caudalie handcreams etc priced closer to Nivea etc in the UK rather than the up-market prices we are charged for it here).

Although some of the brands (eg LRP) are available in some UK shops, the range isn't as comprehensive as in France. I like the matte facial suncreams and I can get them more easily and cheaper in Paris.

I bought some nuxe oil in a french pharmacy which is great. Much cheaper than the UK - but you have to know the prices & exchange rate as not all pharmacies are cheaper!

Thanks for this, I'm going at the weekend and one of the things I'm looking forward to the most is mooching in the pharmacies.

RogeCavailles soaps are lovely esp for dry skin and not readily available here.

Not Paris, but when I was in the south this summer, pretty much everything was cheaper than here, even when it's stuff you can already get in Boots etc. I usually stock up on Bioderma micellar water in the twin pack specials, but there are so many other brands doing it now you may not think it's worth the baggage weight!
Bioderma hair care isn't available here though, AFAIK, and is really good, the specialist shampoos in particular.

Everything from RESULTIME they have marvellous serums creams etc and good size samples so you can try them. I don't know if you have this brand in the United Kingdom.
