Birthday party -'classy'

That is the stipulation on the invite. Knowing the couple and our friends, I'm sure this is somewhat tongue in cheek! But I have no idea what to wear. My husband is thinking of channeling Anchorman's Ron Burgundy 'stay classy San Diego', but I'm worried that I might get it wrong. What would you wear?!

Depends what sort of party.....venue, time.....? Do you know any other guests that may have been invited and what they might be thinking?

8pm Saturday night at their house. I will know loads of people there but everyone I ask has no idea what to wear!

Hmmmm....that doesn’t help you much! Not a clue, sorry! Will watch with interest though! Maybe you and other guests agree/ decide on, say jeans and sparkly/party kinda top.....or casual dress/ black trouser type of thing....then at least couple of you will be similarly attired...?
