I lived through enough of the 80s to remember the poodle perms. But. Hear me out.
I have mega straight, lanky, thin hair. My daily routine is to use various blowy hair curlers to give it some body and shape. I like it best when it's wavy and it tends to make my short bob look good as opposed to looking like a sad drowned mouse. Whatever I do to my hair tends to disappear withing an hour or so unless I apply lots of product and it's even worse if it senses some humidity in the air. I am fed up with it and want something a bit more durable that will give it some shape and volume.
Is there such a thing as a modern perm that wouldn't produce a tight spring like perm but more of a wavy outcome? Or am I dreaming of something that doesnt even exist?
