Hello. Have had my hair done ashy blonde with lowlights. It's a little too grey not what I expected.
Any tips or do I need to get it done again?

That's very grey, is that what you asked for?

DianaT1969 · 05/10/2019 19:13

It may be the toner which is grey and that usually washes off gradually over 2-3 weeks. You could go back and ask yiur stylist what is causing the grey tone. It is very on trend now anyway ..

ShimmeryShiny · 05/10/2019 19:28

Yes she did put a toner on it which I've never had before

If its toner it will fade, fangolo orange shampoo will help get the warm tone back x

Emma1908 · 05/10/2019 21:14

It will just be the toner my hair goes the same when ive had a toner the last time it was really grey so i washed it with some fairy liquid and it took most of it out. It will wash out but if you're really not happy with it maybe try a clarifying shampoo or go back to the hairdressers and tell them your not happy. Sometimes the toner is needed if its gone abit brassy though

ShimmeryShiny · 05/10/2019 21:44

Ok thanks

Yeah, it's toner. I actually want my hair to be that colour but it washes out within a week and I have to spend the rest of the time mucking around with blue and purple shampoos to get it silvery again.

Kellsbells67 · 06/10/2019 07:40

Rachycat, you want to get wella T10 or T18. Its usually shipped from. USA but some UK places stock it. And then fanola no yellow shampoo...... Keeps colour for months x

There's one by a John Frieda (most supermarkets) especially formulated for Ash Blond hair and I think it deals with toner too. Worth a look.

Shimmery put nat vosene on dry hair leave it fo a few hours there is tar in it , it will take your toner out g l

If it's just the grey you want to remove pop some lemon juice in your normal (ie not purple) conditioner and leave it in a little while (keeping an eye on it).

Worked like a charm for me a few years back
