The big job interview- help

Hi,
I've got the chance to make a huge career jump - from Senior mgmt to director level. Interview in 2 weeks. I live abroad, so can't just pop into Uk shops, but find Uk shops fit my shape better.
I'm a size 14/16 hour glass shape. I work in professional services, so it needs to be a suit/dress n jacket.
Jacket/collar and v neck look best on me as my boobs are pretty big (36DD) I've decent legs, and a big belly. Colourful is ok, classic also ok. Price? Up to £500 but would prefer less if possible.
Any thoughts? I'm paging through online but struggling to find any actual suits... or decent separates.. please help! I need to work on my sales pitch, not my clothes!

You sound the exact same shape as me !!! I live in aus , where do you live? As I agree re UK clothes fitting better.

Hugo Boss, JCrew, The Fold. All have what you’re looking for and can ship internationally.

I had pretty much the same question about 4 months ago! I went for an amazing skirt from The Fold and a jacket and silk top from Hobbs. Nice shoes and Aspinal bag.

Pleased to say I got the job. And of course I got the job based on merit but looking professional made me feel relaxed and comfortable, and shows I understand the environment, so its definitely not trivial!

Libbylondon.com have perfect work clothes for the executive! They ship internationally. Their navy Boucle suit (Connaught jacket and Suzy skirt is just perfect. Jacket is long enough to cover a tum!

I came on the say The Fold too. Their dresses are absolutely exquisite and incredibly smart. I have this one for interviews and presentations:

You’ll feel awesome in one of their dresses which will probably help the interview process too. Good luck!

Oooh, thankyou so much! I've got to go out for a family dinner, will read in detail when we get back. Am in Germany... thanks again!

@Ratonastick - do you wear a jacket with the Arlington dress?

Ratonastick · 06/10/2019 08:50

Morning!

It’s heavy fabric and long sleeves so no jacket needed. Plus i think a jacket would look a bit odd due to the styling at the waist. I just wear an outer coat or mac to arrive then the dress on its own.

By the way, this is how I justify insanely expensive work dresses. They’re usually cheaper than a suit........

I have been looking around the Fold and everything looks beautiful.
I think I'm going to order this suit.. thefoldlondon.com/product/ec1-belleville-top-navy/
And this dress thefoldlondon.com/product/hampton-dress-plum-wool-crepe/
And see which looks better...

I have the belleville top and its amazing, definitely recommend. Find it true to size.

Thanks @Ratonastick!

shutthedamndoor · 06/10/2019 18:22

Thanks, if either looks good then I'll post some photos...

@shutthedamndoor How did it go?

shutthedamndoor · 17/10/2019 22:24

It's on the 24th. I've just found out who's on the panel so I'm re-thinking my pitch... ugh
