Coated jeans, yay or nay for a size 16?

I'm debating getting a River Island pair cheaply on eBay but I rarely wear heels, I'm a size 14 to 16 and I'm worried I'll look like a 90s R&B artist.....can leather look jeans work on someone like me? And how would I style them?

Nay. Nothing to do with size, I just think they've had their day.

Fuck all to do with your size i just dont like that look. Its not a classic or on trend so you will look like an rb artist regardless if size 6 or 16!

There will always be a time and a place for them but I've never worn them. I don't see why you couldn't at a size 16?

When I was a size 16 I found them rather disappointing on me. Looked rather unflattering. I think its cos they don't stretch evenly and smoothly quite the same way as skinny jeans, they tend to look a bit strained.

I even tried on some Spanx coated leggings that everyone raved about and jesus christ I looked like a shiny sausage about to burst.

I tried some recently and they were very wrinkly.

Go for it why not even if you buy them and you think they do not suit you at least then you will know. My dp brought me some disco leggings which looks like fake shiny bright red leather I wore them to humer him. I know that's sad but hay
