Work and event in London - which outfit?

I have an event in London next week, which will be filmed, for The Guardian. It’s an after work event, but talking about work and will be held in a corporate space.

I also have meetings in London all day, and my workplace is fairly conservative. For the Guardian event I wanted to look a little less formal but still workish.

I will need to wear separates as I will be miked up and it’s a pain with a dress.

Which outfit is better? I would wear shoes in the day and switch to boots at night.

Agree with most other people - number 3, with the boots. Looks perfect for the event. Good luck!

Ohyesiam · 03/10/2019 22:29

i liked one and then 3 when it appeared. The boots bring it up to date.

PeachMelba78 · 04/10/2019 19:52

I could wear a different top with outfit 6, but probably still green as I like certain colours (I think that’s obvious though looking at my other pictures. The pencil skirt is wool and very comfortable, a sort of petrol blue.

I would go for the green leopard skirt - it's beautiful. You gave a fab figure. Pic 4 is very flattering but I think I would go for the leopard. Very smart but a little different too.

mashpot · 04/10/2019 20:32

3 definitely! All great looks but really like 3 followed by 6 but it is more boring as a dark colour

Snog · 04/10/2019 21:45

I think outfit 4 is v flattering because of the skirt length but all black seems a bit flat for TV.

thenewname · 04/10/2019 21:51

3 is the best, both most flattering and most stylish by miles - it makes you look very slim! Can not BELIEVE it is primark, was expecting lkbennet or similar. Also you can’t go wrong with little pointy shoes.

PeachMelba78 · 04/10/2019 22:07

Snog 4 is petrol blue skirt, not black, but I do see what you mean.
It’s unlikely to be on TV, probably Twitter or similar.
Thanks for all the comments, who knew that Primark would be such a winner!

Enjoy, you are gonna look fab!

Spied · 05/10/2019 20:47

Leopard green. Definitely.

theoldmanfromup · 05/10/2019 20:57

Number 3. I thought it was a Whistles skirt! Off to try to find one on eBay!

AcrobaticCardigan · 05/10/2019 21:01

Outfit 3! Hope all goes well.

AcrobaticCardigan · 05/10/2019 21:03

Love your taste in clothes btw. You are v good at putting outfit combinations together!

PeachMelba78 · 06/10/2019 12:06

Thanks all!
I’m on my way down now as I have some meetings etc to go to before my event.

Acrobat I was called Mumsy before, so thanks for the compliment! (Although I am over 40 and a Mum, so it’s not inaccurate)

Outfit three wins by miles. It's lovely and really suits you. I don't think that belt is doing much for some of the other skirts.
