I’m a collector of all these skin care, I have a bad habit of buying more products than I can use. Just used an exfoliating facial scrub before realising on the back of the tube is says ‘exp 08/2019’. Is this terrible? What will happen if I continue to use it? It’s only been open for about a month, does this make a difference? Help!

Yes, it's terrible. Don't. you might break out. Wouldn't use it.

Peony99 · 01/10/2019 17:27

I'd totally use it! Assuming it smells ok nothing bad will have happened to it in a couple of months. And as it's only just been opened it won't have festering germs.

At least try it? It seems such a waste to chuck it.

applepineapple · 01/10/2019 17:28

If you don't want to use it on your face. Use it on your body. Would be a shame to waste it

I'm still using a Neals Yard scrub I got as a gift when DD was a newborn. She is now 3. Nothing disastrous has happened yet.

GrapefruitGin · 01/10/2019 17:41

I used it before I realised, smelt fine, felt fine! Tomorrow morning will give me the real verdict, if I wake up with several uninvited guests on my face. Great idea of using it as a body exfoliant! Thank you, all!!

Wtf course its ok

thisenglishlife · 01/10/2019 18:00

Use it on your hands and body

Writersblock2 · 01/10/2019 18:57

Use it. Marketing ploy (mostly).

isthismylifenow · 02/10/2019 15:31

You don't want to see my properly expired stuff that I still use and is fine. I would not bat an eyelid at something that expired a month ago.

BusterGonad · 03/10/2019 12:06

Wtf...of course it's okay! It's literally in date imo. I'd still use it a year past that unless it was obviously manky!

Lamentations · 03/10/2019 19:43

I eat cheese that's more out of date than that. Crack on.

GrapefruitGin · 03/10/2019 19:52

@Lamentations 😂😂😂
