What to wear with wrap dresses

I have a red and black knee length wrap dress. I am planning to wear with 60 denier black tights and black ankle boots. Will this be ok?
If the weather is hot can I wear with tan tights and black ankle boots?

I also have a wrap dress (knee length) with various shades of navy and blue. Can I wear with navy tights and navy ankle boots. I find it hard to match shades of navy. Is there anything else I can wear with this dress?

I know midi length is in but it really does not suit me, knee length is much more flattering for me.

How long is the dress? Ankle boots can really cut your legs off and can be not very flattering. If you have long, slim legs it'll look great though!
Also, I wouldn't wear navy tights with a navy dress unless the colour was broken up or it was all the exact same shade.

By how long is the dress I meant is it bang on the knee or just below?

Both dresses are bang on the knee.
The blue dress is pattern- mix of blue, navy, teal. What tights can I wear if not navy?
I am so clueless about this.

I'm going to completely disagree with the PP. Grey tights get recommended on here all the time but I just think they are so blah. Brown shoes are the same, they feel like such a safe choice. Burgundy is much nicer but it would depend on the blues in your dress. I think as long as your tights and boots are a dark navy (shoes will probably need regular polishing with navy polish unless patent) they will look fine with a blue patterned dress. I wear all navy all the time, I mix up textures and add a touch of something else just like you would with an all black outfit.

@CountFosco I kind of have agree with you, in my mind, burgundy would be preferable - I prefer tan in summer with no tights.
The best grey tights are irritatingly scarce - they call them anthracite but they are a very dull mid grey. The type I have in mind is charcoal, almost black. Can’t find anywhere!

I have a luxh paid of teal shoe boots from clarks which look great with black or tan tights. I also love a brogue but have gold ones from Boden, grey leather mens ones which were a 20p bargain from TK Maxx and blue clarks ones. Which look good with a funky pattern but would look very safe with a plain dress.
Ankle boots can be ok depending on where they cut off on your ankle. I have cankles so have to be careful.
