Waterproof boots

Can anyone recommend me some please?

I’ve had a pair of joules wellibobs which split after not much wear, replaced with a pair of ‘waterproof’ snow boots, worn them for about a week and my socks are soaked after an hours walk.

I’m looking for something comfortable to wear when walking the dog that will last through winter. Preferably ankle length because I’m short so long boots/wellies don’t sit right on me. Budget up to around £50.

I saw some muck boot co equestrian short waterproof boots today

Just saw your budget was £50 so those may be just outside it but they have other boots in the same so may be worth looking at. Hunter also do short versions of wellies

I would spend a bit extra and get something with goretex - more breathable than wellies but still properly waterproof. There's a few in the Clarks outlet - and with the extra 10% off they're not loads over budget.

@ToftheB thanks they look good. I found some half price so they’ll be within my budget. Link here in case anyone else was interested www.qvcuk.com/Clarks-Doxbury-Flow-GTX-Mixed-Material-Calf-Boot-Standard-Fit.product.173945.html

@LaPampa thanks think I’ll go for the clarks ones, I was stuck on thinking about wellies because I wanted to be sure they’d be waterproof but I’ll probably get more wear out of the others.

Definitely worth spending a little more - I have these:

They are great, last years and I can walk the dog for miles in any weather and my feet are toasty and warm.

I have muck boots, short ones and long wellies, both are brilliant and have lasted years, so much better than any other brand I've tried.

For smarter waterproof boots for the school run I have a pair of Chelsea style uggs which are fully waterproof and just bought some from Merrell which are really warm and waterproof but look like leather boots rather than walking boots

I have Toggi Columbus boots. Over budget but they are a good length (I normally can't do any kind of long boots either as I'm short, but these are mid calf on me), warm, totally waterproof and very hardwearing (I've had them for over 6 years and still going strong).
