Did you use a HG BB cream this summer?

We’re about to go into summer here in Oz, and it’s years since I used a BB cream (almost back to when it was tinted moisturiser Smile ).

Just saw an ad for Garnier, which has been around for ever, but I remember it being a bit orange for me (I’m pretty pale, but with some sun spots these days), so wondering if you could give me your top finds, and I”ll go shopping1

La roche posay do a bb cream 3 colours it’s worth waiting until Priceline do a sale though

Hello Oz-person! I do like LRP, but found their raved-about anthelios sunscreen felt like normal (gloopy) sunscreen on my face, so I’ve stayed away...maybe I can persuade the lovely women at Priceline to let me try it on my face...

Does it do all the things you want, a bit of coverage, not to shiny? Thanks for the tip.

Hello other Oz person... I love the ones from Andalou Naturals. You can order them from Nourished Life online for about $25. The Vitamin C one is really neutral and brightening (radiant/moisturising) and there is a rose one in two colours (I use the tan one which may pull too dark or orange on many, but the lighter one would be good for most) which is more matte, but not unflatteringly matte. I think it offers more coverage than the vitamin C one, as well. Both have SPF 30. On me, It stays on all day.
For more important events, when I want a more made up look, I haven’t been able to beat iT Cosmetics CC Cream. Spf 50, love it.

Ooh, Andalou and Nourished Life have both come across my radar in the last month! I think Priceline now have Andalou, but probably ought to support NLSmile

Will give them a look. Tbh I'm dreading the summer, cannot cope with the humidity more than anything, but would like to not experience 50 degree type days every again!

IT cosmetics is brilliant. I work in the Middle East and it stays put all day in very hot and humid summers.

I swapped from my usual foundation to a Nyx BB cream this summer, it is great.

YeahNahWhal · 30/09/2019 10:13

I mix Anthelios tinted gel with some Korean sunscreen. I find that fixes the sticky texture and too orange colour - I'm very pale under all my freckles. I'm also very shiny and this combo works great except for the most humid days.

Oooooo I didn’t know Andalou did a BB I use their clear skin range an it’s pretty good.

The LRP one is good not shiny, But I like their sunscreen the BB has an spf in it but you can’t use enough to make it effective as sunscreen or it would look absolutely caked on

Notanotheruser111 · 30/09/2019 10:38

Oh I forgot to say Priceline often has LRP samples hidden away, they gave me one to try before I bought a tube so ask

justilou1 · 30/09/2019 10:39

Priceline only have the Andalou skincare, OP. Nourished Life has the whole range including the BB & CC creams (which I just realised the vitamin C one is) and shampoo, body products etc. Trinny Woodall rates them too.

Ooh, thank you for all the ideas, i’m off shopping tomorrow ! Nyx is tempting because they’re so cheap, but I keep hearing about IT CC cream too... might try for those samples.

Meanwhile, I admire your perseverance Yeah, but if I can’t apply the cream with the wrong hand whilst sitting in traffic it won’t get used Grin. Excited about getting my first Kbeauty order though, looks very interesting. I’ve also ordered some biore water spf 50 stuff to try.
