I do it myself. I haven’t worn nail varnish for about 15 years and decided a couple of weeks ago to start looking after myself a bit better. They looks so pretty!!!!!

Ooh lovely! Is that gel or normal nail polish?

sheshootssheimplores · 29/09/2019 09:20

I just build it up really slowly so it ends up lots of layers. So it’s normal polish but about six layers!!!!

Cute - I love that colour with the glitter on its my new year nails fav Smile

Atalune · 29/09/2019 09:32

Lush- you’ve got a great glitter coverage. Did you use a sponge?

sheshootssheimplores · 29/09/2019 09:37

Oooooh a sponge!!!! No, but now I’m interested lol.

Everything’s pretty cheap and cheerful. B&M glitter polish.

Very pretty. They look professionally done. You could start a little business! Start with friends etc and build up from there. Better than being on a conveyer belt in a nail bar!

RainWoman19 · 29/09/2019 09:48

Oooh nice! 😍

sheshootssheimplores · 29/09/2019 10:08

I think nails are an over saturated market but I do enjoy doing it. I might just look into it for myself 👍

Pirisprinkles · 29/09/2019 11:11

Very nice! I want glittery nails too, I will do mine later 😁

Oblomov19 · 29/09/2019 11:17

Looks really professional.
I am rubbish at painting my own nails.

sheshootssheimplores · 29/09/2019 11:35

It’s to build the glitter up 😬

Gorgeous! 😍 Would you be willing to share the products, please?

sheshootssheimplores · 29/09/2019 12:41

Of course! I’ll take photos of the polishes when I get home.

Very pretty. If you use a makeup sponge you can ger away with fewer coatings. Its great, the sponge absorbs most of the clear polish leaving the glitter on top to be applied. Finish with a nice glossy clear coat. Save a lot of drying time. You have beautiful nails. If i don't have mine professionally done they are awful. But i have little patience for sitting through the process....

DontFundHate · 29/09/2019 13:17

Following for the photos, I love these!

LemonRedwood · 29/09/2019 13:18

This video shows the difference a make up sponge can make to glitter perfectly.

sheshootssheimplores · 29/09/2019 14:00

Well that’s a game changer!!!!!! LOVE IT 😍😍😍😍

Deathraystare · 29/09/2019 14:10

I remember doing that years ago! Well, similar - I had a Rimmel black glitter nail polish and a Max Factor one in an orangey shade called ?Sherry. I thought it looked fab - a black/orange glitter!

I don't tend to do facy stuff as my nails are short and I am mainly concerned with stopping them breaking/splitting. This was in my yoof!

sheshootssheimplores · 29/09/2019 14:19

Ha ha I’m in my 40s but I don’t care. Glittery shit makes me happy 🤣

Ugzbugz · 29/09/2019 14:31

Wow absolutely love it, did they take long ti dry? Any tips for drying nail?

Bishbosh84 · 29/09/2019 14:34

They look good! I love sparkly nails but the glitter is a pig to remove!

TinkerPony · 29/09/2019 14:44

May I ask for tips how you get your nails to that lovely shape when I attempt mine always a few nails end up wonky misshapen.
Maybe cos Im left handed 🤔

MarianaMoatedGrange · 29/09/2019 14:55

Beautiful! Smile

sheshootssheimplores · 29/09/2019 14:55

BishBosh that’s true. It’s a royal pain in the arse to remove. Ive wondered about using that stuff that dissolves and you peel it off 🤔.

Drying is also a complete pain in the arse so I just do it really slowly. First couple of coats are fine but the glitter coats I do over a couple of days. I’m going to try the sponge method as that will defo help with that.
