Where do you apply your make up? What is the best lighting? Any good lighting mirrors? Thanks!

I have a mirror on my windowsill and sit on a chair in front of it so I have plenty of natural light to check colour etc.
You can get those ring light mirrors which look quite good but not used one myself.

I have just bought a Simple Human illuminated magnifying mirror from Amazon. It was pricey but so good. It's scary how awful I applied my make up before I bought this!

DontFundHate · 29/09/2019 16:20

Thank you both. I've been looking at those. Curious as to why you went for simple human @50Wellhellothere101 how does it differ to the cheaper brands? Thank you :)

Ooh and do you do your makeup in full led light? As I can see these are three or so light settings on some of the mirrors. Is full light the best light to do it in??

I have a full led one but I use a mirror at my window with no artificial light it's by far the best use the bathroom led when it's dark
I had one of those ring light ones but it was just cheap and wouldn't recommend it

DontFundHate · 29/09/2019 16:30

@jesse70 just a normal mirror? No magnifying? No led lights? That's all very old school, I like the sound that that! Very sensible thank you :)

It has a magnifying side but I don't use it lol natural light is the best I think if u can

Jesse70 · 29/09/2019 16:35

I don't wear a fuck ton of make up tho
Don't know if that makes a difference

DontFundHate · 29/09/2019 16:40

I don't either so I think it will be fine, I'll move my mirror :)

@DontFundHate I think the quality of the magnification is better than the cheaper mirrors. Going by the reviews of this mirror vs for example the no 7 magnifying mirror. It's illuminated but with a sensor so only lights up when you are in front of it. It's rechargeable and a charge lasts for about a week. Plus no ugly plug so looks nice on my dressing table.
