Any tips for reducing static when wearing a dress and tights please

Bought a dress today. Not really a dressy fan but loved this. Its a jersey type fabric and quite stretchy. Need tights with it and when I tried it on tonight with the tights there's quite a lot of static. Really don't want to buy a slip so just wondered if anyone had any tips on getting rid of the static please.

Spray your tights with hairspray after you’ve put them on.

Body lotion on your legs, or StaticGuard if you are in the US and can buy it in a drugstore.

Another vote for hairspray on your rights.

Rub a tumble dryer sheet over your tights/ legs and inside your skirt
Pin a safety pin inside the hem of your dress (does something to the electrostatic apparently)

I just make sure I used softener in my wash and that seems to stop the static cling.

I don’t know why this works, but it does! Small safety pin on the inside near the hem - into the seam is fine, or even on the label if there is one lower down.

Rub handcream/lotion into your hands and then smooth your hands over your tights under the dress. Taught to me by a friend whose job meant wearing very static-y evening dresses every night.
