Waterproof AND stylish???

Hello stylistas,

I'm starting a new job next week, it's quite senior so I need to be smart, but I'd like to stay stylish too....

I finally get to ditch the tube and have a 20 minute walk to the office. I want to invest in a coat that will keep me dry in the rain, without being too bulky. And it needs to be stylish and hopefully timeless. I'm thinking a good trench, or a Mac but don't know which brands to seek out?

Help me please!

i always recommend Protected Species and honestly I do t work for them! But their Macs are great for what you're looking for and totally waterproof

Don't work for them! Autocorrects gone wild on my phone

Fantastic this is exactly what I'm looking for! Thanks!

The Protected Species mac is great but not particularly warm. Wish it came with a detachable lining,

How to decide between the city walker or the commuter?! And which colour!

Is there such a thing as stylish, waterproof and under £100?

Just saw a friend who was wearing a RAINS mac, that was quite nice but a bit too mac like for me. Think they are a bit cheaper.

It's ordered, went for the commuter in olive green. I'll report back when it arrives!

Barbour?

It's arrived, the Protected Species coat!

I can confirm it's a thing of beauty.... a few notes for anyone considering a purchase.

Frustrating that there's no size 8-10. I've gone for the 10-12 as I'm def not a 6-8, but this one is a little on the loose side, and the sleeves are bordering on too long. I'm 5ft 7 so I'd be surprised if this wasn't far too long for anyone of average height!

It's not warm.... it's thin and lovely for layering but you'd need warm stuff underneath on a cold day!
