Fed up of wearing heels to work and want to wear some stylish flats.

Which of these would you choose?

My current favourites are the patent ones, but I'm a bit worried they will get scuffed

Brewster for me

Expressedways · 26/09/2019 18:17

I have the patent ones and am still attempting to break them in after 3 years. They’re fine for work in my current job as I drive but caused some serious blisters when I commuted on the train and had to walk to the station. No scuffing issues though! Personally I’d pick the 3rd ones.

Happycow · 26/09/2019 18:28

3rd ones too.... im on my 3rd pair of Chesters as they go with absolutely everything and are so comfy. First 2 pairs fit like a dream, 3rd pair is patent and yes, they are a nightmare to break in! (No blisters, just that feeling they are half a size too small , and arent softening in the same way the plain leather ones do).

Brewsters are really nice.

Nikhedonia · 26/09/2019 19:31

@Expressedways eek, 3 years?!

I like the third ones, but they already look a bit worn in Hmm

Like above poster I had the shiny version, gave up after a few years and gave them to my Mum. I loved them but they were never going to break in and be comfortable ☹️

Pointof0return · 26/09/2019 19:41

They are all nice but you really don't have to pay that much for a pair of loafers just as good as those. Have you tried Dune?

Expressedways · 26/09/2019 19:42

In fairness they haven’t had that much wear in 3 years because they are so stiff anywhere with much walking involved is automatically out. They are still in my desk drawer at work from last winter as I used to commute in snow boots. I’d actually forgotten I even had them until this post popped up Blush
I have made a resolution to take them home tonight and wear them round the house until they give as I really do love them. So thank you for that! But if I was buying again I’d definitely go non patent.

ermwhatda · 26/09/2019 20:04

I'd go for the Brewster. once you lose a tassle on the other pairs they'll be unwearable, I reckon.

M&S are selling a very similiar pair for £45
