I'm always disappointed with concealers so I use Double Wear as a concealer, works much better.

MeOnSea · 26/09/2019 10:11

I have scarring on my chin and really rate Mac’s studio finish concealer

Faith50 · 26/09/2019 14:22

I also recommend Mac concealer

IncognitoIsMyFavouriteWord · 26/09/2019 14:40

Younique is the best IMO

About £23. Mine lasts me a year.

Cruelty-free too, if you prefer.

I have a friend who sells it and I'm sure there will be a seller over social media who sells it.

Recently discovered revolution's conceal and define concealer, it's brilliant and so cheap. Won't bother buying double wear concealer again now.

Dixywitch19 · 26/09/2019 14:52

Jouer high coverage concealer or jeffree stars magic star concealer helps my acne scars

Plump82 · 26/09/2019 14:52

Shitonthebloodything (what a user name btw!) Got there 1st. Revolutions concealer is brilliant. I dont use any foundation now. I just conceal where needed with this.

Hiphopopotamous · 26/09/2019 14:59

Not answering the question but I've started using some products from The Ordinary on my acne scars and blotchy uneven skin and they look much better, I've been going out without makeup which I haven't in years. I use the niacinamide and zinc, azelaic acid and granactive retinoid with a twice weekly acid peel. Cost around £25 and it's been 3 months, I've barely used 1/8 of each bottle and my skin looks amazing.

Vichy Dermablend is what some pro make up artists use to cover bad acne / tattoos / marks etc. Very high coverage but you pay for it.

I like Mac long wear concealer on angry spots or their aftermath. Like another poster, I also like Double Wear foundation as a concealer too.

Shitonthebloodything · 26/09/2019 15:53

@Plump82 😂 I'm a fan of Friday Night Dinner "oh shit on it!" Has become my favourite phrase and every other username in the world is taken

moreismore · 26/09/2019 15:54

Another vote for Mac. Also Kat Von Dee does one that covers tattoos but I’ve never tried it

tryingoutgreyhair · 26/09/2019 17:25

Sorry saw this thread after I posted a new one with similar Q.

Does Mac concealer have SPF?

PaneerOfEvil · 26/09/2019 19:52

Love Friday Night Dinner shitonthebloodything! Grin

I’ve been using the ordinary niacinamide and the azaelic Hip but so far not enough difference to not wear makeup though. I haven’t tried the retinoid yet though.

Thank you @MeOnSea that looks ideal

Domino45 · 26/09/2019 20:01

Mac Pro long wear is great & for under eyes too
Double wear concealer is a good option too

Cakemonger · 26/09/2019 20:16

NARS soft matte concealer or Laura Mercier secret camouflage. Dermablend for severe scarring.

HundredMilesAnHour · 26/09/2019 20:20

Another vote for MAC Studio Finish concealer. I've tried so many different concealers but this one is way better than the rest and I always come back to it. It has to be this one though, the other MAC ones aren't as good.

Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage is very good - high adherence and nice texture.

Dermablend is great but the lightest shade is still quite dark I find.

Thanks for so many ideas Smile

I don’t use concealer, but I have started using phoera foundation after seeing it reviewed by a few bloggers. Its only about £4 off amazon. It’s amazing at covering acne and scarring and has actually really reduced my acne over the 6 months I’ve used it! I love it so much I’ve chucked my Clinique foundation in the bin!

SteelRiver · 27/09/2019 10:33

You might like to try Dermacol. I find it very effective. Yiu can buy a sample tube, which lasts for ages as a little goes a long way, on eBay for around £4.

PaneerOfEvil · 27/09/2019 12:13

@Hayls17 would you mind linking to the one you bought? There seems to be a few.

Some great cheap suggestions thank you. I don’t mind spending £4 trying something out.
