Help! 50 size16 needs a Ball Gown.

I need to go to a charity ball type thing and have nothing to wear.

I don’t go to many fancy events so I am loathe to spend a lot of money on something I will wear once. In saying that it is for a good cause so I am willing to make an effort. I am time poor at the moment or I would go to TK Maxx or charity shops for a rummage.

I am 50 size 16 and 5’7” apple shape. Dark shoulder length hair. I hate my upper arms so need sleeves of some sort. There is no formal dress code so any length but I would prefer mid calf or longer.

They are expensive but Gina Bacconi dresses are fabulous. Well made and worth the money.

It's also worth spending an hour on John Lewis, H of F's etc websites, especially in the sale sections.
Set all the filters you can think of & see what pops up - I've had some excellent +80% bargains in the past!
