Microblading - any tips for how to wash hair afterwards?

I’m trying to work out how I’m going to do this and keep my face dry. Has anyone any tips please?

No tips as I am still plucking up the courage to have it done but I intend to go to the hairdressers for a wash and blow dry twice a week or so. The rest of the time I will use dry shampoo.

You have to keep your face dry forever?! Or just straight afterwards?

Thatsnotmymammoth · 25/09/2019 15:27

cornplant for 10 days. I’m getting them done on Friday. It’s a good idea to get it washed by hairdresser. I never thought of that Belindabelle

Good luck. Let me know how it goes. I usually only go to the hairdresser to get my colour done but thought I would treat myself to a wash and blow dry when I get mine done.

Thanks. I’ll update afterwards. I’ve wanted to get them done for about a year and have finally decided to go for it.

I got my husband to do mine whilst I held a dry towel over my face.

Then I stood in the shower on its lowest setting and just was REALLY careful....

I love mine! My eyebrows went all patchy when I was pregnant so microblading was a godsend

Thatsnotmymammoth · 25/09/2019 16:07

Emma so glad your pleased with yours . I live on my own but I could try tipping head right back in shower with a towel over my face. Or I guess I could wash it in the bath in the same way.

Tilt showerhead straight down, almost inwards, and reverse yourself into / under shower with your head tipped riiiiiiggt back so any water dribbles down back of head not over face!

Do you normally get your face wet when washing your hair? I don’t. I love finding out how people do everyday things differently. Grin

I just put my head back under the shower and it doesn’t get wet. I could do my makeup first if I wanted. (Weird I know.)

Had mine done earlier this year. I bought a pair of large scuba type goggles off Amazon like these www.speedo.com/uk/en/biofuse-rift-mask-goggle/811775C750.html

Then I'd put them on before I got in the shower. I also use them for 48hrs when I have LVL lashes.

They have suction round the outside so pretty good at stopping leaks getting in Smile

I washed my hair in the bath and also went to my hair salon for a wash when mine were healing.

Thatsnotmymammoth · 25/09/2019 16:33

Pullingmysocksup yes my face always gets wet when I wash my hair. I like the idea of huge goggles puppymouse. They’re a bit pricy though. I’ll take a look and see if I can find some cheapo ones.

@Thatsnotmymammoth that was the first thing google threw up. Definitely go cheaper. I think mine were £14 or so.
