Shopping for work clothes in Alicante

Hi Style Gurus,

I have to go to a conference in Alicante, and expect to get a couple of hours shopping time either Friday evening/Saturday morning before I head home.

Is there anywhere that is particularly good for shopping, especially formal work attire?

I am a 16-18 and 5'4".
I tend to wear dresses (with a jacket), or trousers with a top and jacket or sometimes a poloneck in winter. I have a couple of lovely pencil skirts that I need to lose the current wobbly belly to get back into.

It needs to be relatively smart. I prefer more structured rather than flowy clothes - not necessarily form fitting but skimming.

And a few of my jackets, trousers, skirts, dresses are needing replacement at the moment, as well as a potential promotion - so I am looking to refresh my wardrobe if possible.

Any pointers?

Thanks!

I live in another part of Spain..

It isn't great if you're above a size 14 tbh. Zara for example - the L is a 12. Violeta by Mango is sizes 14-22 and quite nice stiff. Massimo Dutti is really good for work clothes but often fits me poorly. I have a typical Anglo Saxon figure and don't buy many work clothes in Spain, although casual things more. As it's a big city you will have international brands like H&M you might have some luck with.

I’d also say Mango and that few places go above a size 14 (though I think Mango does).

Also, I’d say there’s a definite Spanish style which is not the same as we might expect! I tried going clothes shopping in Alicante some time ago and was quite disappointed. There are department stores in the main shopping street, and that might be your best bet.
