Primers not working

So anything I use foundation-wise, with or without primer sinks straight into my nose and looks like white polka dots. Primers don’t help. I’ve tried Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base, maybelline baby skin, dermalogica barrier repair, Estée Lauder marrifying primer, Estée Lauder radiance primer, bare minerals complexion rescue spf radiance.
Foundations I’ve used: Bobbi brown weightless skin finish, Estée Lauder double weer and double wear light.
I’ve tried with the primers and without.
Help!

The ELF primers are really good - about £8 in Superdrug they're as good as the Smashbox ones

I think you have to match the base of your primer to the base of your foundation. So a water based primer with a water based (not silicon based) foundation, for example.

I love Benefit porefessional primer. You can buy a mini for about £10 I think.

IloveJudgeJudy · 25/09/2019 03:34

Benefit primer for me, too. I use the pearl one.

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 25/09/2019 17:42

The foundations I’ve tried are mostly silicone, as have the primers.
What are good water based foundations and primers? Maybe I need water, not silicone?
I’ll try the benefit one, though I’m sure I’ve had that in the past. Is the pearl one nicer?

I'm the same @Blahblahblahyadayadayada am hoping someone comes along with a magic cure I've not heard of!

IceniSky · 25/09/2019 18:44

I tend to get a better look if I stick an spf50, then primer, then tinted foundation, but doesn't cure completely.

Teddybear45 · 25/09/2019 18:46

Is your skin oily? If so stay away from silicone.

Babyiwantabump · 25/09/2019 18:49

The ordinary do fantastic primers in both silicone and water based .

The hylamide ha blur primer is also fantastic

Blahblahblahyadayadayada · 25/09/2019 20:50

Teddy eat, not very. Maybe a little in the middle but I seem to be more dehydrated.
Which of the ordinary ones is water based and is the hylamide one water based? I haven’t like anything I’ve tried from the ordinary but I can’t argue with the price. At least if it doesn’t suit it is not a costly mistake.
