Becoming a grown up.

I'm 38 next month and having had two children in quick succession, I've lost my way a bit with style and fashion.
I want to look and feel "polished" and thought I'd start with some grown up shower gel etc rather than the Nivea I've been using for 20 years.
Any ideas? I just want a nice grown up mature smell that makes me feel like I have my shit together.
Lots of other mums on in my neighbourhood are so stylish and always well turned out. I'm never going to be the one that wears make up to go to the park but would still like to feel in control.
Any suggestions please...?

Well, soap is less environmentally unfriendly and better at cleaning skin - so that’s one easy grown-up choice you can make ...

Soap or shower oil (Dove, Rituals or Loccitane).

Fig is nice as a shower gel scent - Korres have one.

I've always felt that soap isn't scented enough. I don't really want to be wearing expensive perfume every day. I would just like a nice lingering scent

Lush's Rock Star, Honey I Washed the Kids and Karma soaps all leave a scent behind.

Karma also has a matching perfume and HIWK has a complementary scent in Vanillary (£19 for 30ml and £39 for 100ml). Karma and Vanillary are both available as solid perfumes too.

Zara do excellent perfumes that smell “grown up” I’d also recommend lush soap. Soap is better at cleaning but I don’t find the fragrance lasts that long so I don’t bother with strongly scented ones

Molton Brown, particularly the Rosa Absolute smell.

I have it in shower gel and bath oil, and it feels very luxurious and the smell is long lasting.

I always feel a bit pampered now after bathing!
