Bras and pregnancy

Does anyone have any advice about bras and pregnancy? Everywhere I read says dont wear underwired bras but honestly I cant see the reason why if they're well fitting.

I equally dont want to pay loads of money for bras I might not wear again after this.

Any advice please!

My rib cage expanded, so underwires got painful quite quickly. I switched to a mixture of these from ASOS and some non-underwire bras from TU. Obviously they're not as flattering under clothes as a more structured bra but by about month 4 I didn't care!

I just got underwired bras that were my new size because my boobs and ribcage got bigger. Bought 2 and alternated for the pregnancy. Didn't cause any problems for me.

For the first 10 months of breastfeeding I couldn't wear underwired bras as when I tried they felt very sore. Wore unwired nursing bras which have to be the most unflattering pieces of clothes in the world but they were functional.

It's fine to wear underwired, you just have to buy new bras when size changes, and not to squish yourself into too small ones. Try ebay for bargains.
