Hobbs coats - sizing

How do Hobbs coats come up size wise?

I think I’ve reached the age where I need a Proper Coat rather than something fashion led and dispensable - plus my kids are not so likely to put muddy footprints on it any more. Was thinking of this because I like the belt detail to give it a waist

I also this at the weekend and was sorely tempted. It’s less shapeless than it looks. www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.0789119002.html

I tried one on in Hobbs recently (umming and erring about buying due to the price tag) - it was gorgeous, and seemed completely true to size.

True to size ime.

The first coat is lovely!

I find them true to size. (Their clothes come up a little big but coats seem to be a truer cut. I wear a 14 in coats and a 10-12 in their tops/trousers/dresses). Also they really last if you care for them. I’m a coat addict and have about 6 from there bought over the last 10 years.

Also try Brandalley for coat sales. I just got a very similar navy Jaeger coat from there which is gorgeous.

Excellent, thanks everyone.

I’m at the bigger end of a 10 in most shops and wear a 10 in Hobbs. I have a Saskia trench that I’d say is on the generous side.
