Dear Boden... please give size 43s a try...

Boden offer long length clothes but stop at a size 8 in shoes. Knowing they keep an eye on Mumsnet asking nicely that they consider extending their shoe size range.

If it could include these I would be even happier...

Seconded.

I’m in 2 minds.... I would love Boden to do size 43 but OMG I’d be so much poorer Smile

keepmoving · 22/09/2019 10:17

Amillionmugs DH has just said the same to me but wouldn't it be lovely to have the choice!

I am fed up of super ££££ shoes or just just downright ugly ones.

Marmelised · 22/09/2019 10:19

Yes please. Anything for more choice in footwear.

beckyy · 22/09/2019 10:31

Yes please Boden!

goose1964 · 22/09/2019 13:49

I wish they'd do wider shoes.

I do wish more brands would do 8+. Shoes are essential. We have money to spend! So many of us now.

BlueBilledBeatboxingBird · 22/09/2019 19:01

As a size 42 I find that I can’t wear Boden anyway as they always come up so small, so as a starting point I’d settle for them selling a true size 42, please!

What @AMillionMugsNoTeabags said Grin

On the one hand I'm up to here with the entire high street either ignoring size 9s completely (I'm looking at you John Lewis Angry) or only doing their least attractive styles (Clarks) or pretending a 42 is a 9 (Office!). M&S get a teeny tiny cheer for deigning to do some shoes in a wide fit or an 8.5/9 (but for some unknown reason they don't put these size options on the regular listing but have a separate item number for them just to make them harder to find Hmm). Mind you I can usually wear M&S trainers in an 8 so make of that what you will.
ASOS and New Look do some but the quality is poor. Topshop do some wide fits now but my Topshop shoe days are far behind me.
Honourable mention to Next alone, basically.

On the other hand I dread to think what the size of my credit card bill would be if I had the opportunity to spend £100+ on a pair of shoes...

RacheyCat · 23/09/2019 00:37

It's annoying, isn't it. I find the US to be so much more realistic with women's shoe sizes. So many more styles available in a size 9 and above!

ToManderleyAgain · 23/09/2019 06:12

Yes, wide fit too please! I despair of the other wide fit options out there and would happily throw money at Boden shoes if they made them in wider fits.

NightsOfCabiria · 23/09/2019 10:01

I find Boden shoe sizes all over the place. Size 7s that are too big and size 8s that are too small. Every pair seems to be different.

ANiceLuxury · 23/09/2019 10:06

I emailed Boden last week and asked if i could put a request in to their design team.

They dont do childrens knickers in plain white. It bugs me as dd says every other brand of knickers stick up her bum but when she wears pale coloured leggings you cant wear boden knickers with them as they show right through with all the patterns on them.

They sent a very nice email back saying my email had been passed on.

Blossom28 · 23/09/2019 10:09

Topshop do size 9 shoes, I just bought some lovely suede Chelsea boots for only £30 in their sale

AMillionMugsNoTeabags · 23/09/2019 10:59

Top Shop “size 9” is a 42...

Taytotots · 23/09/2019 11:11

What Zinnia said. I've given up now and mostly wear men's shoes. Luckily ok for work. I am a size 9/10. I have had some luck with hush puppies in the past when I needed heels - surprisingly nice and not grannyish.

PragmaticWench · 23/09/2019 11:45

If they do it'll be a 42 rather than a 43, so many places say they do a 9 but a 42 is NOT a size 9!! Marks and Spencer 9 is not a 9...

NightsOfCabiria · 23/09/2019 22:01

Clarkes shoes run big so an 8 is actually a nine.

keepmoving · 24/09/2019 13:56

For those with wide 8+ feet try La Redoute. Some nice styles but most large sIzes only in wide fit

OP posts:
nothingwittyhere · 24/09/2019 13:58

M&S shoes always seem to run big.

DonPablo · 24/09/2019 14:10

I'm a 43/44.

Its a choice of birkenstocks in the summer and Dr martens in the winter.

It's like other shoes companies don't want my money!

yellowsun · 24/09/2019 20:15

Clark’s 8s are definitely not a 9!
