URGENT, opinion please on these boots!

I’m only 5’2 so usually wear all black trousers and boots to lengthen my fat legs. Ive broken this rule but I love these boots. Quick opionions on whether they look ok please before I leave the house for drinks with friends . Thanks!

Yes they look fine and life is too short to obey fashion rules that are based on being ‘less than’.

If you love them, wear them!

Oh thanks so much, I fell in love with them in marks and spencer yesterday and just had to to have them. I’ve just put them on and feel ridiculous as they are so far away from the Black and Tan boots I usually wear. I feel better now, I’ll throw caution to the wind and leave them on!

Yes absolutely, do it! And keep doing it. I used to be a perfectionist about that type of fashion rule (all based on the idea that one has to be perfect in order deserve to wear lovely things and/or the idea that a woman has a duty to always make herself as close to the ideal as possible), until one day I thought fuck it, I don’t owe perfection to anyone and while I’m alive and able to I’m going to wear what the hell I like whether or not anyone else deems it/me perfect.

Life is for living, and a beautiful pair of shoes that makes you feel good should never go to waste sitting in a cupboard!

Thanks, at 46 I’m slowly starting to realise that life is too short not to wear the shoes!
