No spend on S&B for the rest of the year, who's in?

I need an intervention. I can't be alone, there must be other S&Bers who feel the same.

Up until a couple of months ago I had barely any clothes and hated shopping. Then I had a style analysis and found out what suited me and since then I've not stopped shopping! I bloody love it but I need to stop. I'm a bargain hunter and get so much joy from finding nice things cheaply, it's like an obsession. But, I have enough. There are many many things I haven't even worn yet.

I absolutely cannot buy anything else this year.

Is anyone else the same? Do you want to join me whilst I try and cure my shopping addiction before it becomes a financial crisis?

Want to share your overbuying confessions in a judgement free zone? Come on in!

Thank you for the KP tips, much appreciated. I'm on slimming world so am eating fairly healthily but will pick up some omega oil capsules.

My impulse shopping habits seem to come from boredom, temptation and feeling the need to treat myself after running around after everyone else all the time.

I've downloaded the YNAB app to log all spending and tonight I'm going to unsubscribe from all marketing emails which will help with the temptation, I'm going to have to limit my time on the s&b boards for a bit too.

I have loads of books on my Kindle and always wish I read more so will start working my way through the shopoholic books as a boredom cure and cautionary tale Grin.

I also need to come up with a list of things I can do that'll feel like a treat.

I have quite a lot of things that don't fit quite right on the length so I can alter those and they'll feel new too.

New week, new me and all that 😂

Me me!

I'm hoping a change of job is going to help (a) because I'm too busy now so have no time to browse - and I suspect it would be frowned on anyway - and (b) I don't imagine reception will appreciate taking in my parcels!

I'm going to stop buying clothes, makeup, haircare & skincare products, unless I'm replacing something that has worn out/been used up. I will allow myself to buy tights & undies and also a few accessories so that I can build some outfits from what I already have in my wardrobe.

Yes! Good idea. I'm going to do that too. Halo
