I need outfit ideas

I'm seriously awful when it comes to picking out clothes. I'm 40 and still don't know what really suits me.

I'm currently having a panic as I have a joint 40th Birthday next weekend so I have about a week to sort this.

Location is quite industrial and likely to not be warm. I get cold quite quickly but also over heat. There is also likely to be sat around a camp fire type stuff.

I wanted to wear something different from my normal jeans and top. Perhaps for once looking really lovely.

My only issue area is my tummy which I'm thinking might have to be pulled in with some serious under wear.

What ideas do you lovely people have?

I have dark ish hair with blonde high lights. And I'm fairly tanned from summer still.

I'd be so grateful for any ideas

Bonus points if it's something I can also dress differently for a funeral!

How about a black jumpsuit (with the funeral in mine) you can dress it up and down with different shoes, coat and accessories. How tall are you and body shape?

I'm 5'6 and not totally sure about my body type. I'm that out of touch! Probably an apple...

A jump suit fills me with terror!

Honestly something that's going to have a campfire and associated activities I would think was exactly right for jeans! That's what I'd wear anyway.

This Toast dress is very flattering for those of us with stomach issues. It can be made casual or smart depending on accessories.

Another option might be their loop back jumpsuit - which doesn't have waist detail, is stretchy and the wide legs balance out the stomach aspect. Again this can be made casual or work for a funeral.

What sort of accessories do you like? Cos has some lovely graphic ones if that is your taste.

Cos boots would work with both and are very fashionably square toed...
