Most flattering bra style?

I have been bf for way too long and have only worn non wired bras for all this time. However having dug around my underwear drawer I have been trying on some of my pretty wired bras, to be honest they made my boobs look ridiculous! I'm only 36f so not enormous but they made me look rude! And with a top on they just look really sticky outy. Am I just not used to seeing properly supported boobs? What sort of bra would make me look smooth and supported but not pornographic? Maybe I need to get measured while I'm at it.

minimiser bra...?

lifts and separates, but without the oomph

Maybe try Panache bras

Go to Bravissimo and treat yourself to a re fit and at least 1 bra, that way you have a bench mark.

I am a 30F and many bras make me look Buxom ( Freya is the worst) the balcony style panache and Fantasie do not do this ( plunge panache does).

I do think it's partly the moving into 'proper' bras again. I had a v similar experience when I went back into underwired, supportive bras after years of bf. I was rather self-conscious for a while! Then it completely disappeared and I just looked normal to myself again.

Can't harm to go to somewhere like Bravissimo and get a fitting to compare your shape in one of theirs. See if they also look 'rude'.Smile

I am going to look up bravissimo and see if there is one near enough for me to go for a measure. One of the most booby ones I have is a panache one, it makes them so pointy! I do believe I've just got used to being mumsy and comfortable though, I dug my lovely old skinny jeans out last week and felt amazing wearing them, miles better than leggings haha! I need a reboot.

is there any need to go to underwired if you dont like the projection?

bobstersmum · 19/09/2019 10:59

I do need the lift now sadly, just try bring them back up to where they should be, it's just that the bras seem to gather them into two large sticky out piles, rather than two rounder flatter ones iyswim?

Have you looked at Molke? They give surprisingly good lift but not wired. I dont find normal non-wired comfy, but molke are very comfy
