Can anyone recommend an occasion dress I can wear for my baby's christening in November? I am a short apple shape! Thank you

Apparently Mint Velvet is v good for apple shapes. However, they seem to have gone for midi length in a big way.

Not sure if there is anything here you like the look of.

What is your budget?

I'm an apple shape and recently tried on 30 or so dresses for a wedding. It was a slog because I didn't suit any of them. Imo apple shapes tend to look a bit pregnant in dresses and suit two piece outfits more, especially if you get a flattering neckline. However the best shapes were 'fit and flare', where it goes in under the bust and flares out over your tummy, or 'cocoon' which is forgiving because it doesn't have a waist band.

I agree Mint Velvet have a good selection. This sort of thing; MintVelvet

As do Hush; Hush

Not sure if this is smart enough, but I really suit this tunic dress from Phase Eight. Not my usual shop, but the shape and cut are very flattering for apples and it looks more stylish in person than online! I wore it with a big tortishell necklace which elevated it. PhaseEight

Good luck!!
