Heavy dresses to wear with tights and boots?

I have a black courdroy pinafore that I wear to death. It's thick and very forgiving but I can't wear it every day!

If I like the pinafore, top underneath and tights look what else will I love please?

Yes, defo’ try Ebay, also a pair of beady eyes round your local charity and vintage shops can yield very good results. Vintage things are often better made too. As a pinafore dress is a classic style you might get a lovely funky dress no one else will have and for a lot less money.

I'd love an a line corduroy skirt but cant find a flat fronted one. I have a horrible tummy overhang and front fastening/ anything with buttons at the front emphasise it terribly

Don't know what length you're after @PlaymobilPirate but there's a lovely cord midi at Uniqlo at the moment. Or at a slightly higher price point there's a gorgeous one at Toast (at the risk of sounding like a stuck record!)

Uniqlo have a cord mini in their Ines de la Fressange range too, but it's bib fronted so not sure if that would be what you want?

Hobbs often have thick wool or wool-mix dresses that would fit your look.

Seasalt have heavy dresses you can wear with thick tights. There are some plain designs too, in cord, canvas and denim, amongst the patterns.
