Yeah I don’t walk in mud etc

Hankering after these but unsure how to wear with my predominantly dark winter wardrobe

I'm not sure you can, unless you really do want to ave all the emphasis on your feet (which you might, the f course). For the lighter colour will attract the eye, so they will be the most noticeable part, especially as a) you don't usually wear light colours so it's unusual for you and b) it's moderately tradition-breaking to wear white (including very near-white) ones in winter (OK, that's more of a US thing, but it explains why (global) manufacturers don't make many, meaning rarer so more noticeable)

Love those boots (so much I just ordered them!).. not entirely convinced by the wooden heel but I’ll see when they come..

Personally I love pale footwear with a darker outfit. These will be great for that as they’re off white rather than brilliant white which can look cheap with dark colors..

I’m worried because abattoir boots

White boots are very much a 'thing' at the moment. I like them a lot.

I love white boots!

XingMing · 15/09/2019 16:01

I have had bone/ivory pairs for most of the last 20 years; they work well for autumn and spring when it's bright but not warm enough for shoes or sandals. But I have heavier, dark boots as well for worse weather, so the pale colours don't get shabby quickly. And I am officially old!

Those are fabulous. Damn you, I've been being all sensible and thinking I want a sensible pair of tan knee highs and now I want awesome white boots.

AliciaQuays · 18/09/2019 09:35

Quick. Buy. They’re almost out of stock.

Surely kind of the point of having white boots is that they draw the eye? When they first came out I thought the idea was madder than cut snakes... But then they grew on me in fashion spreads, and now I own a pair (they're my pointed-toe-stiletto boots rather than my round-toe-stack-heel style). They look killer with denim although I'm not sure I'd wear them with head to toe black etc.

Marshlin · 18/09/2019 14:52

Agree cool with denim and on the naturally stylish. Not really the sort of thing you can just add to your existing wardrobe unless its very contemporary or you are already that understated rock chick type

Oh that’s me then

@CountFosco did you get

No, they are gorgeous but I don't wear heels. I did spend a long time looking for flat white ankle boots but the market was rather dominated by boots that really did look like abattoir boots, these were the best but sold out in my size. Then I found some lovely white shoes at which point I gave my head a shake and reminded myself I've already bought white trainers and white loafers this year and really don't need another pair of white shoes. May still buy them in red or blue though. My name is CountFosco and I have a shoe addiction.
