Pear shaped people, help me!

I have an 11-inch difference between my waist (29 in) and hips (40 in). Most shops seem to base their sizing off about a 9 inch difference which means any trousers I can fit my hips and thighs into gape hugely at the waist.

Surely there are trousers out there somewhere that will fit me?
I'm particularly looking for some wide/tapered leg jeans with a high waist, but interested in any other recs for casual trousers too.

There are curvy jeans available in the US, but I don't know how easy they are to get here. Gap has some. But it may be easier to get jeans that for your hip/bum and get them altered at the waist.

I tend to buy a size up in trousers and wear a belt. Not ideal though.

Probably not quite the style that you’re after but I find Wallis quite good for pear shape if you need work trousers.

Biden Richmond trousers fit me pretty well

I then get trousers/jeans to fit my hips and then get local tailor to take them in up the back seam - he charges £14 for one pair, less for more
