Dungarees for autumn/winter

I finally bought myself some dungarees today and love them! Wish I’d bought them sooner.

They look great (I think) with a vest and Birkenstock’s today.

But need some ideas of how to style them for autumn/winter as I never want to take them off but think I’ll be a little bit chilly unless I come up with new outfits.

I wear mine with a jumper underneath (see below) Needs to be a fairly fitted jumper. A roll neck underneath would look good too. Trainers or chunky boots for colder weather.

With your lovely blue dungarees you could wear white trainers - that would look great.

Have a look at Lucy & Yak and Pinterest

I saw those dungarees styles with this jumper on the style edit - looked nice together

I would wear a fine knit merino roll neck or a M&S Heatgen thermal top and then team with chunky cardigan when very cold.

I have black ones which I wear with fine-knit jumpers in winter, black Stan Smiths, and glittery socks. A cardi over the top would be too much trouble for going to the loo for me.

princessbear80 · 15/09/2019 07:19

Thank you - fine knit underneath it is. Have plenty of them already so will see what ones look good.

@ellapaella those black dungarees are lovely - where are they from please? Sorry for the derail OP! 😊

Ellapaella · 15/09/2019 08:22

@capitalcapitalcapital I got them from a local boutique but the label is 'Run and Fly' - I will see if I can find a link but if not there are some very similar ones in TopShop at the moment I think.

Ellapaella · 15/09/2019 08:25

Can't find a link but they have them on eBay - can't do eBay links for some reason but see the screen shot to see what to search for. I paid £39 for mine in a local shop. They are lovely and soft material.

I wear mine with a turtleneck underneath.

I’m looking for some black dungarees I can wear to work. This probably means not denim, and not outsize. I like corduroy. Everything I’ve found seems to be either denim or huge, or horrifically expensive.

Would the Run & Fly pair be suitable? How denim-y are they?

Ellapaella · 15/09/2019 13:12

@TileFloors they are very soft denim. I love mine, very comfy.
