Skirt and blouse arrived yesterday. Both fab. Good fabric, well fitting. Any other good stuff at the mo?

Oops. Double post. Thought it hadn’t gone through! Sorry.

I have that skirt in burgundy! It's lovely.

Have been quite tempted by this tweed jacket from new, improved Per Una. Tried it on a couple of times in-store and it's really nice.

OneOfTheGrundys · 14/09/2019 20:16

Tried to reply but it got munched!
Lovely jacket... that green is pretty.
I bet the burgundy is nice!

The jacket and skirt are nice. The blouse is terrible. What is the frill about?

OneOfTheGrundys · 14/09/2019 20:54

It’s pretty! Honestly, I love it. 😂
I like a bit of silly frilly Victoriana though. As I said earlier-DH is also NOT a fan!
Skirts v comfy too.

Lounge dress . Found when someone asked if she could wear it on a flight on another thread .
So soft , so not suitable for rocking around the airport duty free !
I am wearing it now ( post surgery so need soft fabrics in my life )

I have been tempted to buy the skirt. Is it the jersey one? Do the creases stay in after washing?

Fatshedra · 15/09/2019 07:43

Their t shirts seem to have a slimmer version - so are, one, regular , sort of straight up and down, two, straight, v loose, and three relaxed, baggy.
Hallejulah. I have big boobs and these loose t shirts hang out from my boobs making me look much bigger, I am going to order some regular to see how they are.
Also their polo t shirts are fitted!!!

ByeByeMissAmericanPie · 15/09/2019 07:51

I’ve just bought a pleated blue and black ombré skirt from them. Just hoping that I’m not surrounded by others wearing the same!

DisgruntledGuineaPig · 15/09/2019 08:15

I like that skirt, but worried it would be too long on me (petite woman problems with midi skirts, get the length wrong and you look like a child playing dress up).

Theres much more I like this year, but not sure if it's just that I'm getting old...

Ginfordinner · 15/09/2019 08:31

They do it in different lengths DisgruntledGuineaPig. If it is the one I am thinking of.

Ginfordinner · 15/09/2019 08:37

Just had another look. This isn't the skirt I am thinking of. The jersey pleated skirt comes in different lengths.

Ellapaella · 15/09/2019 09:21

They have some nice coats in at the moment. I really like this blazer https://www.marksandspencer.com/herringbone-crepe-blazer/p/p60272907?color=BLACKMIX

izzybobsmum · 15/09/2019 09:23

Ellapaella I bought that blazer on Friday, it's really comfortable, just the right amount of slouchy and looks great!

KTD27 · 15/09/2019 09:25

Oh I love the skirt what’s the sizing like?

DeNiroDeFaro · 15/09/2019 09:26

Ah I've been trying to get that skirt in burgundy for weeks but it's sold out! Have been round all the main stores in central London but they don't have it Blush jealous!

Mamia15 · 15/09/2019 09:29

I've recently bought their denim shirt dress (not the one that was modelled by Holly Willoughby - its the dark one with a tie belt. Very flattering.

WhatchaMaCalllit · 15/09/2019 09:55

I picked up this coat (I've loads of jackets but no coat) yesterday:
I tried it on in the blue and it did nothing for me except make me look washed out. The berry colour is really lovely on.

M&S - some nice things.
BogglesGoggles · 15/09/2019 09:57

I’ve been tempted by quite a few things this season. But everything bar one skirt I’ve bought from there has been really poor quality so I’m not sure.

OneOfTheGrundys · 15/09/2019 10:43

Hello all!
Blazer and coat look lovely-had similar blazer from uniqlo last year. It’s been super flexible and comfy.
Not sure about pleats staying in in the skirt as it is getting its first water tomorrow but I’d wash as cold as poss and hang as it says.
Sizing’s slightly generous as can be the case with M&S but I do find they can be a bit all over the place.
And it’s a thumbs up from me for anything soft post surgery. Trumpton I hope you’re healing and comfortable.

I know re the quality. It’s really touch and go. I don’t normally buy online from there as I like to get my hands on the things first.

I looked last weekend and didn't like anything. The fabrics were mostly really horrible. Anything in a nice fabric was too long, or too high-necked, or just wrong.

I bought some of their t-shirts a couple of months ago (£15 each, so not the cheapest ones) and the quality is really poor. They've faded badly and gone saggy on the neckline.
