I'm in dire need of some good quality basics, especially jeans that aren't super skinny or distressed! Also looking for long or 3/4 length sleeve t-shirts. I'm a 24-26 currently.

Thank you!

The basics at Bon Marche are comfy and not a bad price! Wasn’t a place I expected to shop (as someone in their early thirties) but a friend mentioned it and I’ve since had a couple of pairs of jeans, as well as work trousers and t-shirts.

I like asos curve

Hefzi · 13/09/2019 19:35

Add JD Williams into the mix too

QuestionableMouse · 13/09/2019 20:18

Never thought of Bon Marche.

I just want a comfy pair of jeans! 😂😩😂

Have a look at the ERIN leggings that Simply Be do. They are bootcut pull on denim ones that look like jeans but extremely comfortable. They keep their shape too. The Indigo wash is nicer in real life than it looks on their site. If you want a more slim leg one -they are worth while and look nice rolled - I think they are called 'Bella'.

Re tops - I have the long side pocket tunic- it is a great basic and very flattering.

Have a look at the navabi website. Quite pricey. But well made, decent quality stuff and they have good sales.

QuestionableMouse · 13/09/2019 22:10

Oh thank you! Those bootcut jeans are exactly what I'm looking for!

Never heard of navabi. I'll check it out too.

re the bootcut - only go for petite if you are really short. I am 5"3 and needed the reg length.

Nat6999 · 13/09/2019 22:31

Next have some clothing that goes above size 22, their sizing are generous & reasonably priced.

QuestionableMouse · 14/09/2019 00:14

I drive past a next every week and never think of going in! Thank you.

And thanks for the jeans tip!

Be warned not all Next stop larger sizes. A hell of a lot of shops stock large sizes only online. Don't want above a 16 in their shops! I often find it hard getting anything by Next except online.

AlexandraPeppernose · 14/09/2019 15:14

Yours is good for basics

QuestionableMouse · 16/09/2019 19:37

I tried Yours today and all the jeans were so long! The shortest leg they had was a 29 inch which is about two inches long for me.

Did get some nice tshirts though.

Asos curve have a fantastic range of basics just now, i'm eyeing them up myself! And the tops last for years too, really good quality.

Fstar · 16/09/2019 20:54

Levi do curve bit pricey, m and s do some good jeans too

Pinkypurple35 · 16/09/2019 21:19

I second Next, although in store tends to go upto size 22.
There are more sizes online, I get black work pants and jeans.
