No idea what 9yr old DD could wear for a wedding

DD is not a fan of dresses, she doesn't like frills and hates tights. We're going to a wedding end of October so it will be chilly. I'm really stumped on what she could wear. It will be quite a fancy affair so she needs something other than the leggings and tshirts that she permanently lives in! I'd be so grateful for any ideas. She's 9, but little and has no interest yet in 'fashion'.

How about a pair of cigarette trousers and a nice silk type shirt? Maybe the trousers can have a different colour other than black. I've seen plenty of cigarette type trousers in children's departments.

My dd wore a black velvet jumpsuit to her ‘graduation’ disco in year six. It was from Tesco. She looked great.

My DD9 is exactly the same not into dresses at all but does love a jumpsuit.
River island do some lovey ones that would look dressy enough for an October wedding

100% jumpsuit

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 11/09/2019 18:38

Oh fantastic! I never thought of a jumpsuit but that's ideal and I love that River Island one (I didn't even realise they did girls clothes!)

Thanks so much Smile
