Waterproof jacket for school run

What do you recommend? I’m looking for a stylish jacket with a hood (that stays up!). I’m 36. Is super dry too young? Is sea salt too old?

I have a great one by four seasons, bought in John Lewis

look at hiking section in sports stores.
properly waterproof and wind proof and often with a zip in fleece for warmth if needed.

Love my Barbour jacket - it is the one with liberty print lining. The hood is big enough to stay up when I have my hair up in a bun too.

Agree with Protected Species, mine is drawing envious looks! It's not warm though so you need a jumper underneath if chilly.
